Highlights: the Kabanicha in Katya Kabanova (La Scala debut, The Dallas Opera); the Kostelnicka in Jenufa (The Dallas Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Vancouver); British premiere of Ermione; Herodias (Chicago Lyric debut); Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena (Seattle debut, San Francisco, Toronto, Detroit, Washington DC, and in concert in New York where it was televised “Live from Lincoln Center on PBS); Mme de la Haltiere in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Santa Fe Opera); numerous roles at the Metropolitan Opera including Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Giulietta in Les contes d’Hoffmann, Countess Adelaide in Arabella, the Kabanicha, and Siebel in Faust; world premieres of Dangerous Liaisons and A Streetcar Named Desire (San Francisco). Ms. Forst made her Dallas Opera debut as Dorabella in Così fan tutte (1984) and has been honored with the “Order of Canada” in recognition of her distinguished contribution to the arts.
