BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Tosca by Giacomo Puccini
One of the most dramatic, thrilling operas ever written, Tosca is set amidst stunning churches and pictorial palazzos in Rome during the Napoleonic era. Its heroine, Floria Tosca, a famous opera star and legendary beauty, finds her happy life shattered and is forced to resort to violent measures to rescue her lover who has been trapped in the web of the licentious Scarpia, theChief of Police, who also desires her. Puccini's sensuous melodies and astounding conclusion atop the Castelleo San Angelo will leave you breathless.

Cast Highlights:
The Diva to end all Divas: Tosca! Starring Catherine Naglestad in her Dallas Opera debut and Massimo Giordano (who swept audiences off their feet as the romantic lead of last season’s La Rondine) as the artist who adores her. Marking the company debut of Maestro Anthony Barrese, this enormously popular production will be staged by veteran director Giulio Chazalettes.
