Why?
BEHIND THE CURTAIN
Macbeth by Giuseppe Verdi
Based on the classic Shakespeare play, Verdi's Macbeth is a story of a blindly ambitious general with a power-hungry, manipulative wife who must try to cope with the guilt and mental torment caused by their murder of an innocent king. Witches with dark prophecies, bloody assassinations, visions of ghosts, nightmares, treason, insomnia and sleepwalking mark this spellbinding, spine-tingling glorious opera.
